Painter Dragan Martinović (Bogatić, 1957) is a Serbian painter who grew up next to his father Milivoj, a theater director and painter, and Milić from Mačva, the founder of the Mačva painting school. He started painting in his early childhood and at the age of fifteen he became a member of the aforementioned group. Already at the age of seventeen, he exhibited for the first time independently in Šabac, in 1975. In 1976, he entered the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade, where he completed his basic and postgraduate studies in the class of Professor Zoran Petrović. Immediately after completing his studies, he starts intensive exhibition activity. He exhibited as a group at more than two hundred exhibitions in the country and abroad, while he exhibited independently over 140 times, also throughout the country and abroad. He is a participant of many colonies and the winner of several important awards. He is a member of the oldest painting group in the Balkans - "Lada", the Association of Fine Artists (ULUS) since 1981, ULB since 1983, the Association of Fine Artists "Sirmium" since 1983, he is the founder and ideological leader of the Association of Fine Artists "ESNAF" ", founder of the movement "I love Mitrovica", Society for the Culture of Living "OKO", "Pečat" from Bogatić and "Reč" from Prijepolje. He lives and works in Sremska Mitrovica, and his works are represented in many museum and private collections around the globe.
